Tears Inc. is a volunteer driven, 501c3 non-profit organization
founded to support abused, abandoned, and relinquished animals throughout central Florida.
To work in unison with Seminole County Animal Services, and with other local shelters and groups, to improve both the quality of life and shelter living conditions for these animals and the prospect of starting a new life in a new forever home or foster home. Our goal will be achieved through charitable fund-raising events, community education of the need to spay/neuter pets and through support of adoption events. TEARS Inc. encourages respect, compassion and kindness to all animals everywhere.
Tyke was brought into SCAS on Sept. 24 with severe wounds down to the bone in areas. He’s currently under the care of Dr. Beth Carson & Dr. Al Nunez with Animal Hospital of Lake Mary. After receiving weeks of daily bandage changes for his wounds and heavy antibiotics we are finally at the point we can begin skin grafting to help close the areas that lost intense skin. His front nail beds were all filed down to the bone from his ordeal and he may need surgery on his front paws depending on if there is any nail that begins to grown once the skin has healed over. X-rays revealed that at least one of his toes will need to be amputated once there is enough skin to close the surgery site. Tyke is also receiving alternative treatments to help aid in the cell and skin growth. Right now he’s getting everything he needs…lots of care, love and time but his recovery is a long one with several surgeries still needed to help close the deep wounds. Please consider making a donation in his name to help cover his medical bills. Thank you! (Updated pictures and information can be found on our Facebook page).
